A research study by two Ph.D. alumni – Hanghang Tong (ML ’09) and Leman Akoglu (CS ’12) – was featured Dec. 3 in an article, “Data Mining Reveals the Secret to Getting Good Answers,” in MIT Technology Review. Their analysis of Q&As from the Stack Overflow site is purported to be the first to quantitatively prove that good questions are more likely to result in good answers.
