CS Scholars is a four-week deep dive into computer science, combining college-level coursework, hands-on projects and engagement with leading tech companies. Fully funded through CS Pathways, this merit-based program gives high school juniors the opportunity to explore computing with CMU faculty, gain mentorship and develop real-world technical skills.

AI Scholars is a four-week deep dive into the world of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Fully funded through CS Pathways, this merit-based program for high school seniors explores the fundamentals of AI through Python coding, data, algorithms and evaluation. Scholars engage in classroom instruction, research projects, faculty lectures and industry experiences.

Computers are used to design new drugs and vaccines, analyze how species have evolved and provide new insights into the brain. This pre-college program bridges the gap between computer science and biology by guiding students to explore some of the beautiful computational approaches that are vital to understanding modern biology.
