SCS Marketing & Communications works with students, faculty and teams across the school to amplify achievements and promote the impact of SCS research and education.

Services & Offerings

SCS News

Our editorial team covers research impact; select announcements about institutes, centers, initiatives, partnerships and startups; faculty and student awards from external organizations; and SCS life. Visit SCS News to read the latest stories.

Media Relations

As the primary liaison between SCS and the media, we pitch groundbreaking research and connect SCS subject matter experts with reporters across disciplines. We also offer media training to faculty.

Digital and Social

We curate all SCS social media channels and collaborate with communicators across our school to amplify news and events. We also lead SCS digital marketing efforts and offer consultative services for programmatic campaigns.

Website Content

Our team creates and manages web content at the school level and supports content managers in departments and centers to optimize their digital presence. Email Web Help with questions about content. For technical support, reach out to SCS Computing Facilities.

Marketing Support

We offer a variety of marketing services, including design and production of signature print pieces, development of launch strategies, etc. Our approach is consultative; we create materials and campaigns for teams and equip them with the tools to maintain these efforts.

Open Source Newsletter

We produce two newsletters to ensure that our community stays up to date. Open Source is a weekly roundup of SCS news for current students, faculty and staff. Bytesize is a monthly digest for SCS alumni and friends.

The LINK Magazine

The LINK is the magazine of the School of Computer Science, published biannually for alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends. Thematic issues deep dive into the CS-related topics of our time, from space exploration to the impact of AI on education.

Does Compute Podcast

Produced in partnership with GeekWire Studios, Does Compute offers exploratory conversations about the technologies that shape our world. Tune in as experts, alumni, and students tackle topics ranging from environmental tech to privacy in the digital age.
