Clan Members, past and present

Sonek

Old Sonek was the head of the clan during its (quite successful) extortion and racketeering epoch. Crafty, ruthless, and quite possibly evil. Also dead, but may have reappeared as a spectre in the Nirduk Vault during Kharnzeel's occupation.

Streck Brightblade

Currently missing in action, presumed but not necessarily believed dead.

Ganeth Starfire

Acting clan leader while Streck is M.I.A. Since the clan currently boasts all of two members, the sole point of relevance here was that Ganeth was the one to boot Kharnzeel from the Nirduk Vault.

Kalek

Kalek was Sonek's younger son, and happened to be the slime that the Nirduks were hoping to force Mena (Marek) Barshen to marry back in the '40s and '50s. According to Watush the dop (not the world's most reliable source, but he had no reason to lie about this), Kalek was very much his father's son. Watush believed that Kalek was killed and replaced by "Kareelmola", another dop, while the clan was moving to Chthul-Ra sometime around AK 589 or early 590; Silvana, however, thinks that Kalek may have been the Nirduk base commander we killed during a mission in AK 578 (though we didn't find out they were even Nirduks until the following year), and Streck and Watush simply assumed that the dop who later replaced him had also killed him.

Kalis Bluestar

Back when the Nirduks were working for the Shade Lord, Kalis was the clan operative at Hazana's mountain base. After the clan broke with the Shade Lord and Streck's subleaders either defected or were killed, Kalis was promoted to subleader and put in charge of base defense; he held this post for much of Ganeth's tenure with the clan. Kalis was a mercenary scumbag, and as the clan moved toward greater good and lesser profits, he bought a lot of equipment from Silvator on the Nirduk tab (which Silvator might still want to be paid for, despite Ganeth's assistance in reclaiming his trading post from some vagrant Easterners) and led a mass defection to the Shorin clan. According to Sirax (another less-than-reliable dop source who seems to know when to cut his losses), Kalis had a falling-out with Elbret, but they seem to have gotten over it. Although the party doesn't know this, Rahul has confessed that Kalis was killed by the invisible gorgon Kharnzeel left atop the Nirduk base.

Kurtani

Kurtani was the clan operative at Mt. Kathul when the number priestesses were holding the keep. (The Shade Lord seemed to have a lot of charm-based priestesses working for her in those days.) Some notes found in her quarters indicated that she was associated with the Ashlord; there was also a diagram that referred to an "astral lobster". Kurtani grabbed a healthy chunk of Ganeth's items when he was captured by the numbers priestesses, inspiring the rest of the party to terminate her with extreme prejudice. Her severed head later proved to be a useful source of information.

Melika

Melika was the head of a Nirduk away team on the southern continent sometime between AK 579 and AK 590. When Milana met her, she was impressed enough to adopt her name as a pseudonym. I think she was killed in Silverton around AK 591-2, but I'm not sure about this.

Kelmin Northstar

After Kalis defected, Kelmin was promoted to subleader and took charge of the Nirduk base. Kelmin is not particularly fond of adventuring or combat (though she finds it less unpleasant when she's working with a good selection of wands to blast from), but she's generally level-headed, organized, conscientious, and loyal. (In other words, she's quite atypical for a high elf from Auramkil -- she really wanted to be a sea captain but lacked the necessary political connections.) With the clan more or less defunct, her future prospects aren't so bright, but she's considering Ganeth's idea of remaking the clan into a broader school, guild, and support network open to anyone looking to do some good. Currently at the Hollerith Temple (as close to a home base as she and Ganeth have) helping the local defenders. 5/5 fighter/mage.

Ekali

Ekali was a nice but naive messenger who idolized her 'Uncle Streck' and 'Uncle Ganeth'. Her lost and clueless demeanor when she asked Ganeth to "lead us" after the shades attacked the Nirduk base conveyed the impression that all of the elder Nirduks were gone and was instrumental in getting Ganeth to become involved with the clan. She was assigned to Ganeth as a go-between and regularly visited the Temple of the Wind to drop off or receive messages. (She was also happy about reporting to someone who outranked Kalis.) According to Kelmin, Ekali flew off on AK 593:205 (the day the Shadowing fell) with a message from someone Ekali believed to be Streck; she hasn't been seen since. 2/2 fighter/mage

Nirtuni

Nirtuni took part in the mass defection to the Shorin clan and was one of the Shorins keeping an eye on the Nirduk base between Elbret's attempts to crack the Vault. According to Kelmin, Nirtuni didn't get along well with Elbret (apparently her defection didn't lead to a promotion); since Ganeth and Kelmin were able to collapse the area surrounding the Vault under Nirtuni's nose, her prospects with the Shorins are not likely to have improved.
