Research Activities

The research and development of Micron involves the following key areas:

1.      Sensing – quantification and modeling of instrument motion;

2.      Filtering – development of algorithms for tremor and other erroneous movements;

3.      Manipulator – development of handheld electromechanical systems to perform active error compensation.

We are currently building Micron 2, having learnt from the development of Micron 1.
