Prelude in G Minor
Introduction
Lady
Rognukena did Ganeth a big
favor during the recent Nirduk Vault intrigue
by letting him hire a team of her miners for excavation work around
the former Nirduk base; now it's time to pay the piper. Ganeth has
been sent to Banzeel to secure a
base of operations for the West to use in its coming war
with the Marakeel
Empire.
The good news
- Demos Remen,
Ganeth's former tutor, is rumored to be working with the
revolutionaries in Banzeel.
- Streck had contacts
among the Banzeel revolutionaries, including someone by the name of
Kharnzeel.
- The party, bless its xp-seeking heart, is coming to help out
(except for Derdriu, who's needed on the homefront during the war).
The bad news
- Like most folks in the Eastern Empire, the citizens of Banzeel are
less than well-disposed toward elves (non-enslaved ones, anyway).
- Streck disappeared before paying Kharnzeel most of the money he'd
promised him, and Ganeth certainly isn't good for the balance.
- If Ganeth were actually good at stealth, diplomacy, and
alliance-building, he'd probably still be living in Auramkil and his two clans would have
more than three members between them.
- Where was Beeel's
evil master from again?
Demons, mages, spiders, cultists, giants, shades, and the occasional
avatar are all well and good, but are our heroes up to the challenge
of...a city adventure? Stay tuned.
