| Notes | This design was created by RMN BuShips
in response to a specific request from the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
for a dedicated ground-assault pinnace. It was introduced into service in
275AL after a very successful test series which included a totally unanticipated
rescue mission arising out of the Gryphon Avalanche of that year. Units remaining in serviceand new-construction units for the expanding number of assault transports in the Fleetwill be fitted with upgraded inertial compensators and Beta² impellers. This upgrade will increase performance to 500G, while effecting a reduction of 30 tons in the mass of the drive systems. The mass reduction will not be reflected in the total mass of the craft, but will be used to mount more powerful EW/ECM and sensor electronics along with an increase in armor and shielding to equal that of the Mk28 Buccaneer. This craft first appeared in The Long Way Home in Worlds of Honor. |
