| Notes | This class, like the Courser-class CLE, is designed to counter the Alliance's new Project Anzio LAC Carriers. It has the missile armament of a large CL and the energy armament of a BC, using its light-speed weapons to pick pick off LACs. The class also has the latest Solarian-transfer EW/ECM, sensors, and communications, including excellent (for the PN) target hand-off capability. Bloodhound-class CAEs often work in groups to screen PN walls of battle from attacking Shrikes. | |
