| Notes | Ships of this class are intended to provide
additional anti-missile capability to any Task Group or convoy to which they
are assigned, operating in two-ship divisions. As they are not intended to
operate independently against ships of similar size outside the escort role,
the impellers–and resultant acceleration rates–have been intentionally
reduced from what would normally be found in a 160k-ton CL. The shipkiller and countermissile magazine size/capacity ratios are reversed in this class, for a total shipkiller loadout of 360 (30 per tube) and a countermissileloadout of 6,240 (260 per tube). |
