| Notes | The Hoplite class CL is
the first RMN CL class to incorporate Beta² impeller technology from
the keel out, with the additional space freed up by this and the increase
in mass over the Apollo class used to increase the ship’s point
defense and EW/ECM capability. Ships of this class are named for pre-space warrior types (infantry soldiers, cavalry troopers, sailors, etc.) from Old Earth history before the Space Age. As a result, many of the Hoplite class ships will have the “same” names, but those names will be drawn from different Old Earth Languages. |
