| Notes | This ship is designed to serve as an
escort/consort for the Honor Harrington-class SDP. It does
not have any integral missile pod launch facilities, but the fire control
systems are designed to control up to 150 pods after they are put into space
by a Harrington SDP. The missile armament is relatively light, but
the energy armament is correspondingly heavy (fortress-grade) to provide
a “close-in punch” in the clean-up role. The grav lance has a complete back-up
system installed to reduce the cyclic recharge time. In order to increase the ship’s survivability in pointblank-range combat, the normal SD armor protection is doubled over the ship’s sides, and the top and underside carry armor equivalent to the flank armor of an RMN Bellerophon-class DN. Sidewall generators and radiation and particle shielding are approximately 15% stronger than the normal outfit of the GSN Benjamin the Great-class SD. |
