I am a PhD student in CMU/LTI advised by Eugene Fink.
My research interest is the application of Machine Learning techniques to Natural Language Processing problems. Informally: methods that can discover desired structures in text with minimal supervision. Formal research areas, in decreasing order of interest: text classification, information extractions, knowledge-based systems and ontologies, sentiment analysis, information retireval and (shallow) semantics.
Currently working on adapting graphical model approaches such as topic models (continuing my work in my Master's thesis) to various problems.
I am a Siebel Scholar, IEEE and ACL member.
