Baby Voms A Lot

This is a baby that vomits.
Fundamental Principle and History

This toy’s operating principle is based on baking soda and vinegar. The idea of a projectile vomiting baby came from my boyfriend’s video game character. His character sprays some kind of demonic spittle at enemies. I thought that this concept could be readily adapted to a doll.

Operation

The child feeds the baby with the vinegar filled bottle. The bottle releases vinegar into the baby’s mouth, which leads to its baking soda filled stomach. There is a spring-loaded gate with enough resistance for the pressure to build in the stomach chamber and then release contents explosively.

The toy is very safe, fingers cannot be stuck in its mouth, and all the contents of its stomach are found in a standard kitchen. It is however very messy and somewhat odorous, so it must be constructed to withstand heavy washing. Construction cost is minimal as it’s just a basic doll with a central chamber and a spring-loaded gate in its mouth.

Age Group

This toy is intended for ages 6 and up. The doll caters to a large audience; it’s cute on its own, but it also has a crude side, which will appeal to older children and even adults. It allows for boys to play with it because it has a gross-out factor, which will meet social norms.
