Baby Boomer

The Baby Boomer is a small, cartoon-like baby doll with a small red button on its belly. Inside the doll is a loaded spring attached to the inside of the doll’s head, and a locking mechanism near the dolls neck. When the child playing with the doll pushes the red button, the locking mechanism will retract, and the baby’s head will spring off, allowing for hours of entertainment, and amusement. This toy is based on spring forces, and the change of potential (spring) energy into kinetic energy.
As this is a relatively small, plastic or hard-rubber toy with few internal parts, production costs should be low. The springs will have a low spring constant so the spring force is not hazardous, and the head will bee much larger than an eye socket for safety reasons.
