Description of toy concept 1, Aim:
Aim consists of a sling shot, sticky darts, and a target board. The sling shot and the target board are attached to the board. The sling shot is adjustable by rotating the knob, which is attached to it, to perfect the child's aim. The child is able to interact with the toy by taking one of the sticky darts, pulling the dart backwards on the rubber band of the sling shot, and releasing the dart. The dart should be propelled towards the target board. The purpose of the toy is to hit the center of the target board with the sticky dart.
The principles of the toy are the kinetic energy, potential energy, force, and perfecting one's aim. The child will learn about these principles when he or she applies a force onto the rubber band with the sticky dart, which places potential energy into the rubber band. The potential energy that is now stored into the rubber band will now change into kinetic energy as the dart is propelled towards the target when the dart is let go. The child will also learn how to perfect his or her aim by practicing altering the position of the sling shot.
The cost of constructing this toy is expensive because it is three toys put into one. The target board can easily be mass produce and so can the sticky darts. The sling shot part of the toy requires a little more effort. The sling shot is held in place by the knob and rotated by the knob as well. The knob is like a screw that tightens the sling shot into a tube that is attached to the board. The end of the knob will have a firm strong material that gives the child the ability to rotate the sling shot counterclockwise or clockwise. The tube will be able to move in a circle. So the cost of making the toy would be expensive.
The toy will be durable and safe. The toy will be durable because the toy will be made out of durable material like certain plastics. The toy will be safe since the material of the toy will either be smooth or soft. The dart will also be made out of soft durable material.
