Concept 3
by Stephen Mandzak
Quick Description:
An improved sling shot that should bring more accuracy and ease of use.
Principles toy is based on:
How the toy will be used:
The user will hold the object in one hand, load the basket with the object to be fired and pull back on the rubber band and catch it on a hook. A safe foam ball will be included to be used as a projectile. When the user is ready to fire the object, they aim it in an appropriate direction and pull the trigger which releases the hook and launches the item.
Construction cost:
Construction costs are dependent on the material made out of, since it could be made out of wood, plastic, or metal. I would estimate around $20.
Durability:
The main frame of the object should not have a problem with durability, however eventually the rubber band will have to be replaced due to fatigue. Multiple replacement rubber bands could be included in the packaging to cover a long time period. The projectile should last many impacts
Safety:
This toy will have to be set at an appropriate age for a ballistics object that could potentially wound somebody if a dense object was launched.
