My Dear Ganeth,

One of the reasons that I chose you as subleader was your direct and forthright manner. The time has come, I believe to discuss specifics:

1) Shade offensive

You echo my sentiments that the Nirduk clan must strike back at the Shades and demonstrate to them that we will not be backstabbed. In the context of my plan, your idea for a local offensive against specific targets meshes admirably into the overall strategy.

2) Snickersnake

Your desire to perform a strike on Snickersnake's hideout is in concordance with our overall plans in the region. Though we are unable to provide you with concrete support, your actions have been cleared by the clan. You will be the harbringer of her doom.

3) HQ defense

Kalis Bluestar has taken over the difficult task of securing our headquarters from attack. Though your assistance would have been appreciated, it would force the clan into a wholly defensive stance --- something which I believe is somewhat unwarranted, despite the grave threats we face. However Kalis will be most grateful for any advice and reinforcements that you can provide, even through your retainers and allies.

You ask about the attack on our stronghold. My investigations have revealed that doppelgangers were used to gain access to our secure installation. The culprits have been eliminated and future attempts of this sort will not succeed.

4) Clan unity & cooperation

Your letter emphasizes a point that I have long felt --- that it is time for high elves to unite under a common purpose. Let us unite the resources of our factions in order to pursue the cause of common good. I understand that you are allied with the Grey Elves, in particular their priestess. As you must be well aware, high elves have lacked the easy healing that comes to those who have priests in their midst. Now the Nirduks will be able to realize their full potential once the onerous burden of healing and revitalization is borne by Silvana rather than healing potions. Also the addition of your spellbooks to the Clan library will be a blessing that will be appreciated by all, especially the younger members. Let us delay the technical details until our meeting.

By joining the Nirduk clan, you shall receive the full benefits of membership even though your affiliation must, for the time, remain secret. In particular, you shall receive an equal say in policies, and have the opprotunity to bear the full responsibilities of a sub-leader. I can read in the tone of your letter that you feel the loss of being unable to wear our insignia openly around Cthul-Ra, but your sacrifice shall ultimately benefit the clan. I expect to see you for dinner at the conclusion of your successful Western operation.
