The Future of Higher Education: Three Forces with the Capacity to Transform America's Colleges and Universities
The United States is experiencing profound, unrelenting and accelerating demographic, economic and technological change. One of its consequences is that all of our social institutions—education, government, media, health care and the rest, which were created for the passing era—are compelled to change in order to meet the demands of the emerging order. This talk will focus on the future of one of those institutions: higher education. It will explore how much, in what ways and by what process it can be expected to change in the years ahead.
