  • Most likely, there will be both questions similar to previous exams and new types of questions.

Exam 1 covers Chapters 1-3 and 5. The big emphasis is on chapters 1-3. Some sections of these chapters are omitted; see the course schedule for a more precise reading list. Exam 1 is worth 1/4 of your total exam grade. Sample exams:

Thu Oct 29, during lecture time

Exam 2 covers Chapters 5, 6.1.2, 6.3, 7, 8, 10 (not including 10.6.3, 10.7, 10.8, or set-associative TLBs), and 11. Exam 2 is worth 1/4 of your total exam grade. Sample exams (please note that each semester may have covered material in a different order, so not all Exam 2s cover the same topics as ours will):

Final

5:30pm - 8:30pm, Monday, Dec. 14

The final is cumulative, but places emphasis on the last part of the course, Chapters 10.9-13. The final counts 1/2 of your total exam grade. Sample exams:
