Graduate Application Support Program

The SCS Graduate Application Support Program is a student-led initiative to offer feedback to potential applicants, particularly those from underrepresented groups.

Historically, underrepresented groups have lacked access to guidance from people familiar with the application process. We are taking small steps to mitigate the problem by connecting such applicants with students at CMU and offering feedback on their applications. If you are applying to an SCS Ph.D. program, you can connect with a student mentor and receive feedback on your graduate application materials. Your mentor might also be able to help you with any questions you have about your application.

Apply to be matched with a mentor today!

This is an unofficial resource independent of the SCS graduate application. Please apply formally to the programs of your choice through the Graduate Admissions webpage. For now, this effort is limited to SCS Ph.D. programs in the following departments: computer science, human-computer interaction, machine learning, language technologies, robotics, and software and societal systems.
