IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing: VL/HCC 2011 - September 18-22, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Short and Long Papers

We invite two different types of paper submissions, due 11 March 2011:

All accepted papers, whether full or short, should be finished and complete archival contributions. The contribution from a full paper is more extensive than one from a short paper. Short papers are not works in progress; incomplete or ongoing research should be submitted to the Posters category.

All papers must be formatted in IEEE double-column Conference Proceedings format and must be submitted electronically. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the international Program Committee. Accepted papers will will be distributed at the conference and will appear in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

NOTES

NEW THIS YEAR In addition to papers, authors may optionally submit a short digital video or interactive illustration. Since not everyone who reviews your paper may view the video figure, your submission must stand on its own without the figure, and will be reviewed as such. The videos of accepted papers will be distributed at the conference and will appear in the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library. Videos must be at most 3 minutes in length, at most 100 MB in size, and prepared as MP4 files using the H.264 codec. The authors of videos must have clear copyright of the audio and visual content.

NEW THIS YEAR We will have awards for best full-length paper and best short paper.
