| Notes | This is the standard smallcraft for the
RMN’s PCL-3 Shrike and Shrike-A class
LACs, and is also used as a lifeboat or “emergency shuttle” by some other
RMN ships. The Stellar Queen is too small to mount an inertial compensator or impellers, relying instead on counter-grav and hybrid turbine-thrusters for propulsion and carries sufficient fuel for one hundred minutes at maximum acceleration (13 days, 21 hours at 1G). It carries 300 person-days of emergency rations20 days at maximum emergency capacitybut its atmosphere regeneration and water reclamation facilities have only a 100 person-day useful life. A substantially similar model, the Super Star Queen, is manufactured by the Hauptman Cartel for the civilian trade. It trades half of the Stellar Queen’s endurance for the ability to seat twelve passengers in much greater comfort, and is also available in a “cargo” configuration that accommodates two seated passengers plus 50m³ of miscellaneous cargo. |
