pt-helper

I am the lead developer of pt-helper, a physical therapy routine generator and reader:

"pt-helper is a program designed to help you perform physical therapy exercises. It reads in exercise information from a file, and then it uses this information to generate a random physical therapy routine. The program can either:

  • Read the names of the exercises to you as you perform them
  • Generate the routine as text (which you can copy into a file and print out)
When combined with a wireless mouse or other input device, pt-helper becomes a powerful tool for conducting a physical therapy routine."

Galaxy Mage

I have helped with the development of GalaxyMage. As the project website states:

"GalaxyMage is a free, open-source tactical/strategic RPG for Windows, Linux, and Macintosh.

A tactical RPG is a type of role-playing game where turn-based battles are fought on a 3D map. Examples of commercial tactical RPGs include Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts, and Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

Our goal is to make GalaxyMage a game that is relatively simple to pick up and play -- you can dive right in without getting bogged down in the details of the battle mechanics -- but to also allow for a lot of character development and customization. We also intend to create a unique, advanced AI system that allows enemy units to work together as a team and employ a wide variety of strategies."

Please feel free to visit the homepage to see some screenshots or to download a copy of the game to try for yourself!

Learning Japanese

Besides robotics, my other major interest at present is Japanese. I have taken two years' worth of Japanese classes, and I enjoy practicing my Japanese whenever possible. Eventually, I hope to add a page to the site with my biographic information presented entirely in Japanese.
