Previously I worked as an interface designer at ImageDrome, a web and software user interface design agency in Korea. Then I moved to NeoWiz, an Internet software and service provider company in Korea, where I directed a user interface design team. In both positions, I designed many user interfaces for different software and websites. I also interned at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center (2000) working on Responsive Information Architect project.

My research interest lies in user interface design and information visualization based on human experience. I focus on understanding how people interact with various systems in order to design and develop of technologies that consider the user's situation. Currently, I am working on a project within the area of situationally appropriate user interfaces. In this project I'm developing an in-vehicle navigation display that provides contextually optimized navigational information to the driver. I'm also working on a kinetic typography project that presents emotive and expressive content.
