Conversations
with God
Pittsburgh Study
Group
Our group has been existing since July 1999 and
has started in a "new format" since March of 2001: Instead of walking thru the
books chapter by chapter, we now have a focus theme for every
meeting. Also, there is less emphasis on pure intellectual discussion
and more on personal experience and application of the CWG messages.
We meet
every second Wednesday evening, 6.30-8pm, in my home in Sq.Hill
(5839 Beacon Street, left floor, left door).
The goal of the group is to explore in depth concepts
from the material and its application and the meaning CWG has in our lives,
how we can apply and make functional the wisdom
of the CWG material. If you
would like to join us, just come to a meeting. You don't have to be an
"expert" on CWG! We are all still learning - uhm: remembering... !
You also can email me for
more information.
Since the summer of 2001, we have been
taking a break for a while, but we're hopefully
back some time in 2002. Just stay tuned and check this webpage
occasionally; if I have your email-address, you will be notified, once our
meetings resume again. You might also check with other study groups in the
area of Pittsburgh.

Past meetings
How to find us:
From Rt.376:
Take Exit 8 (Sguirrel Hill/Homestead),
follow signs to Squirrel Hill, then turn left up the hill at
the BP gas station (Murray Ave), drive up the hill until you see another
gas station. Now turn right onto Beacon Street.
My apartment is in 5839 Beacon Street, left floor, left door.
[Same side of street as Giant Eagle, about 4 houses up from
their parking lot].
Guidelines for this CWG Study Group:
- We agree to speak and share openly and honestly, and to listen
with understanding and compassion, not with judgment.
We come from a place of loving acceptance of All There Is.
Nobody's feelings or opinions are "superior" or "better" than
anyone else's.
- We agree to maintain confidentiality about personal sharings in
the group. That way, the group is a "safe place" for everyone.
- We do not attempt to "fix" another. Even though our
personal experiences and stories are an essential part of the
meetings, we keep in mind that this is a group dedicated
to studying the CWG material, and not a therapy group.
Some CWG Core Concepts
The Conversations with God study group in Pittsburgh is one of hundreds
of groups that have started around the world in order to explore more deeply
the concepts in the books. Some examples of these concepts are:
-
God is Life is Love is Joy.
-
God is communicating with us all the time.
-
Feeling is the language of the soul.
-
Thought, Word and Deed are the three levels of Creation.
-
There are only two sponsoring thoughts: Love and Fear.
-
There is no such thing as "right" and "wrong".
-
What you fear, you attract.
-
What you resist, persists.
-
What you look at, disappears.
