My name is Kate. I am an international student from Azerbaijan. I am a Computer Science student at the University of Hawai'i located in the beautiful bayside city of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i.
I love this marvelous island and I will miss it terribly when I will have to leave to pursue a PhD in Computer Science.
This is my second summer working with Dr. Jessica Hodgins, a professor in the Computer Science and Robotics Department at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research is in the area of Computer Animation, Humanoid Robotics and Human Robot Interaction. For more information about me and my last summer's project visit my CRA DMP 2007 page. Enjoy exploring this website and reading about my research endeavours!
A note on the website's header: depicted is a fence at the center of the Carnegie Mellon campus. Painting The Fence has been a Carnegie Mellon tradition since 1923. To read more about it click here.
To answer your question: No, I did not really paint The Fence - an image editor did all the dirty work for me.
