Chapter 23: A Vital Force in the Community

The on-line edition of "A Vital Force in the Community" has been slightly reworked from the 1992 print edition. Here are the parts ordered as they were in that edition, plus some new sections added for the on-line edition.

Introductory section: at the official Scientology^[tm] site. It's basically the same as in the 1992 print edition, with the last couple of paragraphs redone. It includes links to the other sections listed below.
Antidrug Projects: The first part of this section is on the official Scientology^[tm] site. The last 5 paragraphs, dealing with Canada, seem to be missing; instead, there's a new section on the Drug-Free Marshals.
Around the World: This section, describing activities in Europe and elsewhere, does not appear to be on-line at this time.
Reducing Criminality: The 1992 text is at the official Scientology^[tm] site.
Environmental Revitalization Projects: A slight rewrite of the 1992 text is at the official Scientology^[tm] site. References to groups in Tustin, CA, and Orlando, Florida, have been omitted from the on-line version, and a reference to a Seattle group added.
Ethnic Affairs and Civil Rights: The 1992 text is at the official Scientology^[tm] site.
Supporting Goodwill and Community Organizations: The first part of the 1992 text is at the official Scientology^[tm] site. The latter part, discussing specific examples in various cities, does not appear to be on-line at this time.
Volunteer Ministers: The 1992 text is at the official Scientology^[tm] site.
Eradicating Illiteracy: This appears to be a new section in the on-line edition. It can be found at the official Scientology^[tm] site.
Long-Range Goal: Three paragraphs at the end of this chapter do not appear to be on-lien at this time. The long-range aim summarized there is "a civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights".
The print edition includes a picture showing of a number of city proclamations overlaid on each other, apparently omitted in the on-line edition. Several of them concern the Drug-Free Marshals in Canada. On close examination, one sees that many different Canadian cities seem to have issued proclamations with identical (or near-identical) texts.
