The Nature Box
The Nature Box is a tank which serves as the perfect environment for small plants to grow. The key feature is that along with its ability to teach children how to grow plants it also produces an actual rainbow every time the user tries to water the plants. This is achieved by refraction of the sunlight through the prism that is placed strategically in the box.
- Children interact with the nature box in several ways. Firstly, it teaches them the conditions required to grow healthy plants. The nature box provides the user with the tank, fertilized soil, water spray and even seeds. Secondly, the ability of the nature box to produce rainbows allows for children to see what an actual rainbow looks like within their rooms at any time of the year. It also teaches them how the rainbows in real life are produced.
- The nature box is based ton two very simple principles.
- 1. The greenhouse Effect (Allows for a healthy environment for plants)
- 2. refraction of light by a prism (Produces the rainbow
- The Nature Box is extremely cost effective, durable and safe. This is possible by the fact that it is primarily an acrylic tank, and acrylic being extremely durable and cheap makes the toy very safe and cheap. The only other parts it contains is the soil with organic fertilizers, seeds, water spray and the prism, out of which none are expensive or dangerous.
