Mechanical Jump Rope

- Child Interaction
- Children will be able to use this when they want to jump with multiple people and do not need the extra two people to spin the rope.
- Could also be used by athletes who have suffered an upper body injury, which hinders their ability to spin a jump rope.
- Toy Principle
- The system will have a motor which will spin the jump rope.
- It will come with a jump rope, which the child can use to turn the mechanism on and off, and also control the speed of the rope.
- The child can learn the concept of centripetal acceleration because the rope needs to be going at a certain speed in order to remain stiff thoughout its compete rotation
- Construction
- The mechanism will not be to cheap due to the fact that it needs a motor.
- The motor will have a torque control so if a child gets caught in it or steps on the rope, the motor will shut down to keep it from burning out and anyone getting hurt.
- Should be safe due to the torque control and the remote that the child will have, hopefully it will keep the base from falling
