Mechanical Piggy Bank

Description of the Mechanical Piggy Bank:
- Kids will enjoy the Mechanical Piggy Bank because it allows them to learn about springs and reaction as well as teaches them to save their money.
- To use the Mechanical Piggy Bank a child will place a coin in the indentation atop the spring loader, load the spring to the correct coin type, and release the spring to cause a chain reaction which sends the coin flipping into the funnel and into the Piggy Bank.
- The main principle behind this toy is the idea of potential energy in a spring translating into kenetic energy of the bumber and coin.
- The cost of construction for the Piggy bank is not very expensive. The most expensive things would be the molded piggy and spring housing which are not expensive in an assembly.
- The durability of the spring and bumber are the most questionable parts of the piggy bank due to general wear and tear, but they will last for more than a few years..
- The Mechanical piggy bank is safe for children 4 and up simply because the projectile motion of the coins may hit children who do not know to get out of the path. Also small kids may try and swallow coins.
