INFERNOBILE!!!

The Infernobile is tons of fun, especially when the lights are out. At first appearance it may seem similar to any other toy vehicle. The child winds up a spring motor by rolling the truck backwards. When released the Infernobile accelerates forward until it runs out of power then drifts to a stop. However, turn off the lights and the Infernobile stands above all other toy vehicles. As the Infernobile is moving forward it also spins two flints. The flints rub against a small hinged piece of steel. The flint creates sparks that shoot out of the truck’s top exhaust. If it is dark the sparks can be seen clearly. The Infernobile’s paint job also compliments its fiery exhaust by glowing in the dark. Once exposed to light the flames on the outside of the truck glow red while the rest of the outside emits a standard greenish glow.

The Infernobile appeals to boys aged 4-8. It shows these children the idea of potential energy. It teaches them that by winding the truck up it can store energy then release it. The sparks and glow in the dark are created primarily to grab and keep the child’s attention. The children also learn how truck changes its appearance over time and in different lighting enviornments.

Manufacturing the Infernobile is extremely simple. The motor inside is identical to any other windup cars, just a few gears can be added to drive the flint. The external is made completely of plastic. The outside is painted with chrome and phosphorescent paint. A clear coating is then be applied to protect the phosphorescent layer. Deep scratches may still damage it, but overall it should be durable.
