Baby's Shape Fitter

\

This toy is a simple take on an age old baby's toy. The use of the toy is intended to be obvious, so that is more likely to catch the attention of a small child. The goal is for the baby to place the right blocks into their appropriate holes on the board. It is geared for small children and intends to teach them the concept of shapes and enhance basic motor skills/eye-hand coordination.

Though not quite intended as a group toy, the toy would be most likely used with a parent's attention or interaction. It would be multicolored and use exciting and unique shapes to keep the baby's attention. The toy will be made out of wood, and would be coated with with a non-toxic plastic since baby's have a tendency to chew thier toys. In addition, the shapes would have a smooth cut with no sharp edges to yet increase the safety of the toy.
