Creation of slice files using foam

The use of foam for the creation of the slices is basically the same process as creation of the prototypes from paper. Follow steps of the creation of standard prototypes. There are some minor, but important, changes that need to be made.

Step 5: After making sure your model is correct, choose Slice from the Prototype submenu. When you get the menu asking which Material you wish to use, click on the toggle button, the small square on the right side of the window. Choose Foam. The specifications for this material have already been set for you.

Follow the same steps for plotting and loading the sheets as in standard prototypes.

Note: Since the pen pressure is set relatively low to prevent the edge fraying, the registration holes and the mask blocks may require more cutting than for the paper prototypes.
