iSite Enterprise Features Reference Sheet

Please note: this Reference Sheet has been organized beginning with the most basic image-selection and viewing features to the most complex image-manipulation features.

Action

Quickly load or unload an exam

Right-click the exam listing in the Patient History Timeline and select Load/Unload exam.

Expand an image or image-series

Double-click the left mouse button on the desired image or image-series.

Adjust Brightness and Contrast (Window Width and Window Level)

Left click the image and drag the left mouse button horizontally or vertically, respectively. Default WW/WL, Histogram Calculation and Modality Default values are available for all modalities through the pop-up menus. CT exams will also display preset Window/Level values through the pop-up menu. These values include the Default WW/WL, Abdomen, Brain, Bone, Liver, Lung, Mediastinum and any other custom Window/Levels created by the iSite System Administrator on a site-by-site basis. 

Compare (Link) images in a exam

Right-click on an image and select the New Link function from the pop-up menu. Right-click on the image you would like to link and then select the Join Link option. You can also quickly link all images with the same point of reference by choosing the "Link All..." option.

Comparing 2 or more exams

  1. Open the exams you wish to compare.  

  2. Double click on the desired images to get expanded view. 

  3. Resize or relocate images so they are side by side. 

  4. Plain Films: Manually link (see above)

  5. Series: Auto linked when images margins are edge to edge

Resize image windows or exam-rows

Place your cursor on the window's borders or on the exam-row's bottom margin, left-click and drag.

Select and deselect images or image-series

Left mouse-button click on the desired image or image-series.

Release any current mouse mode

Left mouse-button click.

Access an image pop-up menu

Right mouse-button click on the desired image or image-series.

Pan

Plain Films: With a wheel-mouse, click and drag the wheel-button. With a two button mouse, click the left mouse-button and drag the mouse while holding down the Control Key.

Series: Click the left mouse button and drag the mouse while holding down the Control Key.

Zoom

Plain Films: With a wheel-mouse, roll the mouse wheel back and forth. With a two-button mouse, click the left mouse-button and drag the mouse while holding down the Alt Key.

Series: Click the left mouse-button and drag the mouse while holding the Alt Key.

Frame-by-Frame Review for Series 

With a wheel-mouse, roll the mouse wheel back and forth. With a two-button mouse, press the up and down arrows keys.

Fast-Cine Review for Series 

With a wheel-mouse, click and drag the wheel button. With a two-button mouse, hold down the up and down arrows keys.

Access Diagnostic Reports for a Exam or Patient

Click the small red rectangular button at the upper left-hand corner of exam rows. Please note: if reports are unavailable or are not supported by your institution, the button will be grayed-out. You can also right-click the exam listing in the Patient History Timeline and select the "Show Report" option from the pop-up menu.

Invert brightness and contrast

Right-click on an image and select the Invert function from the pop-up menu. Deselect in the same manner.

Flip an image around the x or y axis

Right-click on an image, select the "Flip/Rotate/Sort" function from the pop-up menu and then choose either "Flip Vertical" or "Flip Horizontal" from the sub-menu.

Rotate an image clockwise or counter-clockwise

Right-click on an image, select the "Flip/Rotate/Sort" function from the pop-up menu and then choose either "Rotate 90 CW" or "Rotate 90 CCW" from the sub-menu.

Sort an image series

Right-click on an image, select the "Flip/Rotate/Sort" function from the pop-up menu and then choose "Table Position Ascending","Table Position Descending","Image Number Ascending" or "Image Number Descending."

Annotate an image with text or symbols

Access these tools through the pop-up menu by right-clicking on an image and selecting the "Annotations" item. 

Measure lengths, angles or regions of interest

Access these tools through the pop-up menu by right-clicking on an image and selecting the "Measurement" item. 

Delete Measurements

Right-click the measurement handle and select "Delete" from the pop-up menu

Edit Measurements Format

Right-click the measurement handle and select edit font or edit line style from the pop-up menu

Temporarily disconnect a linked image

Hold the shift key down while performing image manipulation with the mouse or the keyboard.

Unlink images in an exam

Right-click on the image you wish to unlink and select the Leave Link option. Please note, this feature doesn't apply to images in the same exam.

Auto-link expanded images

Expanded CT or MR images will auto-link when their margins are placed side by side. Left-click on the image's top margin or bottom annotation area and drag images margins edge to edge. 

Convert an MR slice into a Scout View

Right-click on an image and select the "Show Scout Lines" function from the pop-up menu.

View a series with Multi-image mode

To view a series with several slices displayed simultaneously in one window, right-click the series and select the desired configuration from the Multi-image mode pop-up menu option.

Open a clone-image in a floating window

Right-click an image and select Clone Window from the pop-up menu.

Copy to the Windows Clipboard

Right-click on an image, select the "Save Image..." function from the pop-up menu then choose the "To Clipboard" option from the sub-menu.

Apply spine labeling to an image of the spine

Right-click on any  image or series which includes the vertebrae and select the Spine Labeling option from the Annotations sub-menu. Click the image where you would like labels inserted in conformance with the Spine Labeling dialog.

View exam information

Right-click on the left margin of the exam-row, directly under the reports button, then open "Exam Information" from the pop-up menu. If you are in Vertical mode, right-click the top margin to the right of the reports button to access the menu.

View the available presentation states for an exam

Right-click on the left margin of the exam-row, directly under the reports button, then open "Presentation States" from the pop-up menu. If you are in Vertical mode, right-click the top margin to the right of the reports button to access the menu.

Minimize all images in a exam row

Right-click on the left margin of the exam-row, directly under the reports button, then select "Minimize Images" from the pop-up menu. If you are in Vertical mode, right-click the top margin to the right of the reports button to access the menu.

Close an exam

Right-click on the left margin of the exam-row, directly under the reports button, then select "Close Exam" from the pop-up menu. If you are in Vertical mode, right-click the top margin to the right of the reports button to access the menu.

Hide/Display the Patient History Timeline

Click the ( P ) Preferences button in the iSite Enterprise Control Strip and check or uncheck the "Display Timeline" option in the General Preferences Section.

Change between Horizontal and Vertical Rack Modes

Right-click on the left margin of the exam-row, directly under the reports button, then select "Horizontal Rack" or "Vertical Rack" from the pop-up menu. If you are in Vertical mode, right-click the top margin to the right of the reports button to access the menu.

Resize a exam row

Place your cursor on the margin of the exam-row. The cursor will change to a resize cursor. Click and drag the margin to the desired height (or width if you are working in vertical rack mode).

Reorder images in a exam row

Place your cursor on the image's gray top margin or bottom annotation area, left-click and drag to a new location.

Print to paper

Right-click on an image and select the "Print to paper" function from the pop-up menu.

Save image to file or to clipboard

Right-click on the image you wish to save and select the "Save Image" function from the pop-up menu. Select "to clipboard" or "to file".

Export an exam via DICOM 

If you wish to send an exam to a DICOM device, such as a DICOM 3-D Imaging Device, right-click an exam listing either in the Patient History Timeline or in the Patients Worklist and select the "Send via DICOM" option from the pop-up menu.

Logout

Click the Logout Arrow Button in the upper right-hand corner of the iSite Control Strip.
