Currently,
my research work is in the area of visual scene analysis for automated
video surveillance. Along with my collaborators, I'm looking into the
various issues that come up during the deployment of a large scale
video surveillance system. We are exploring fast camera calibration
methods, target tracking and the applications of advanced imaging
methods.
Along with a few people in the
academia and industry, I lead some efforts on standardizing video
surveillance algorithms. The standardization body (Performance of
Outdoor Surveillance Systems and Equipment, POSSE) is expected to kick
off in the second quarter of 2005 during CVPR 2005.
