Desney & Angela met in Singapore when Angela was coordinating Desney's visits to the local research centers. They got lost on the way to lunch, and a 20 minute drive slowly turned into a 3 hour car ride. They used this chance to learn more about each other, and it is then that they fell in love. Several weeks later, they were dating.

Desney returned to the US, but despite the physical separation, they grew closer with each day. They have had little getaways to San Diego, California and Batam, Indonesia.

With their engagement and the recent exchange of marriage vows, Desney & Angela have taken themselves out of the dating game, forever. They plan to hold a small church ceremony (in an exotic location, possibly Africa) in June 2004. They will also do small family celebrations in Singapore and Sarawak during that time.
