Jay Kistler is currently a recovering entrepreneur.  In 2010 he co-founded Maginatics, a cloud storage company, and served as CTO until it was acquired by EMC in late 2014.  Prior to Maginatics he held engineering leadership roles at Yahoo, AgileTV (a voice control for TV start-up), Akamai, and FORE Systems.  He began his industrial career as a researcher at DEC's Systems Research Center.  He received MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
