| Notes | The Battleship LAC Carrier has been designed
to allow smaller members of the Alliance — who either cannot afford
to purchase DNVs and SDVs or are unable to crew them out of their local
populations — to field ships which can allow them to participate more
fully in various supporting operations they would otherwise be unable to
engage in. The primary function of the Battleship LAC Carrier is to serve as the core of medium raiding forces in assault and capture of lightly-garrisoned systems away from primary combat areas. Current proposals suggest task forces based around Raider-class vessels should include two BCs, two CAs, and six DDs/CLs per BBL; with task group deployments at the Raider division or half-squadron level. Like the Warden-class BBE, the Raider-class BBV has passive defenses (armor, sidewalls, and radiation and particle shielding) equal to those of an RMN Manticore-class SD. The Marine Complement is one Reinforced Company (5 platoons). |
