I have always felt very strongly about increasing the role of women in science and technology. As a result, throughout the years I have had a very active role in designing and volunteering for workshops supporting women in tech.

EYH: Expanding Your Horizon, Cornell Universiy, 2019

I designed and lead a new workshop at the 2019 EYH to introduce middle school girls to Electrical and Computer Engineering. My project helped the girls build a simple circuit to create sound from light. I called it ”Can you hear the light?”. We had a full turn out of 60 female students of 7’th and 8’th grade. We received numerous positive feedback.

CATALYST Academy, Cornell Universiy, 2019

I helped in running a workshop at the 2019 CATALYST Academy; a week-long program to introduce underrepresented high school students into the field of Science and Engineering. Our project helped the students build a communication system and learn about modulation schemes and error rates.
