RE: BallotStation 4 Releases

Use your laptop to copy R6 files to a PC flash card.  When you insert the flash card into a PCMCIA slot on your laptop, it looks like a drive letter designation on your Windows Explorer directory tree.  Just copy and paste or drag and drop.

If you use the PC card provided with the demo Ballot Station, remove the install files from it after use.  The file deletion is not necessary to operate the data base, but every time you power up the R6 unit, it will sense the install files and prompt you for installation.  A nuisance.

Subject: BallotStation 4 Releases

To All;

I have put the latest BallotStation 4 releases on our ftp site. They are in the pub/BS4Fix directory.  The files that I have put there are:

FILE:                                    PASSWORD        COMMENT
BallotStationCE-4-0-2-2.zip     ind89asi2hdj9       WinCE version that fixes bugs see readme.htm in zip file
BallotStationCE-4-1-0-0.zip     adkos94745kdf     WinCE version that fixes bugs and adds audit printing for Texas Cert.
BallotStationNT-4-1-0-0.zip     anjdisoand98a       WinNT/95/98 version that fixes bugs and adds audit printing for Texas Cert.

To install the NT/95/98 version on the AVTS R4 units simply copy the BallotStation.exe file to the program directory and run it.

To install the WinCE version on the AVTS R6 unit unzip the file and copy the BallotStation ins file to a pcmcia storage card and the insert the card in the AVTS R6 unit and turn the unit on. You will then be prompted as to whether you want to install the new version.
