Re: Networking

First Jeff you will have to set up a USER for you 95 box on your NT Box.
Goto: Start Menu/Programs/Administrator Tool/User Manager
You will then Add your USER (User/New User), Call the 95 box Accutouch, give
it a password.
Click the Check box for User cannot change password, and Password never
Expires.
Click on the add button. Then close the dialog Box.
Close your User Manager and head on over to your C: drive. (My Computer)
Right click on your C: and go to Sharing. Click on the share as bullet, and
hit the New Share Button.
The Share name will be C$. Change this to C, and hit OK.
Walla, you have a shared NT drive.
Any Questions you can call and I can help out.
Mike

Subject: Networking

>I am currently setting up networking between a Windows NT 4.0 Server
computer and a Windows 95 computer. I have no problem seeing each others
computer and I can access the Windows 95 computer drives from the NT
computer but cannot access the NT computer drives from the Windows 95
computer. Can anyone give me some insight to this, I need to be able to
connect a Windows 95 Accu-Touch computer to a Windows NT computer via
network for the City of Piedmont, CA election.
