What you need to Know

about the Dog racing busines

Every year tens of thousands of Greyhounds are killed simply because they stop winning races. Therefore, ceasing to make money for their owners.  This is why the average age for a Greyhound is only 3 years.  Yet their normal lifespan is 10-15 years.

They are gentle dogs that love people, are good with children, and make great pets. If you are considering getting a dog, please contact a Greyhound rescue organization, check out the links below, or E-mail me.

Now onto my Greyhounds!!

Mingus is almost 7 years old.  He broke his back leg racing. We rescued him from a track in West Virginia.

He likes eating, sniffing bushes chasing squirrels, long walks, and did I mention eating.

Lisa is 10 years old.  We rescued her from a track in Florida.  We think she must have been very fast because we got her when she was 6 1/2 years old.

She likes pizza, being pet for hours, and chasing squirrels/cats.
