Placing our prototype into context

The design prototype for inTune:

To better demonstrate how to inTune fits into the lifestyle of a senior, we designed a video sketch to illustrate several inTune features:

• One-button starts playing the music. No need to search for the right button to press
• Shoebox form factor that is aesthetically appealing on the outside
• Shoebox serves as a convenient storage unit for note cards
• Display holder allows users to easily identify which music is playing, and acts as a pleasant display that's easily understood by other bystanders as well
• Share feature that allows users to initiate shared experiences of exchanging music between friends and family
• Users can customize blank note cards with a personal note to better enhance the shared experience of listening to music
• inTune provides recognizeable stickers so that users can easily identify musical note cards
• Portable speaker units allows users to take their music with them as they move throughout the house.
• Relatively lightweight music player with an even lighter portable unit
