My name is Yung-hui Li, currently I am a PhD student in Language Technology Institute of School of Computer Science in Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests include speech recognition, machine learning, pattern recognition in biometrics. Currently my advisor is Dr. Tanja Schultz.

I was born in Taiwan, which is a beautiful island in south-eastern Asia. I grew up in Taipei, which is the capital of Taiwan.

I got my B.S at Department of Electrical Engineering of National Taiwan University in 1995. After serving in army in two years, I went to Philadelphia and got my M.S. in Department of Computer and Information Science of University of Pennsylvania in 1998.

After that, I went back Taiwan to work as assistant researcher in Chunghwa Telecommunication Lab, the three years I spent there was the most valuable time in my life. I learned a lot in speech recognition, and also meet many good people who teach and encourage me in my professional knowledge. I cannot say enough "thank you" to those who have helped me in CHTTL.

Currently I have a wife and a son. Thank God for giving me such a wonderful family. You can get to know my family in "My family" page.

Life in Pittsburgh is colorful and joyful. You are welcomed to share the memory of my life in "Life in Pittsburgh" page.

May God bless you and have a good day!
