My name is Yung-hui Li, currently I am
a PhD student in Language Technology
Institute of School of Computer
Science in Carnegie Mellon University.
My research interests include speech recognition, machine learning,
pattern recognition in biometrics. Currently my advisor is Dr.
Tanja Schultz.
I was born in Taiwan,
which is a beautiful island in south-eastern Asia. I grew up in Taipei,
which is the capital of Taiwan.
I got my B.S at Department
of Electrical Engineering of National
Taiwan University in 1995. After serving in army in two years,
I went to Philadelphia and got my M.S. in Department
of Computer and Information Science of University
of Pennsylvania in 1998.
After that, I went back Taiwan to work
as assistant researcher in Chunghwa
Telecommunication Lab, the three years I spent there was the most
valuable time in my life. I learned a lot in speech recognition, and
also meet many good people who teach and encourage me in my professional
knowledge. I cannot say enough "thank you" to those who
have helped me in CHTTL.
Currently I have a wife and a son. Thank
God for giving me such a wonderful family. You can get to know my
