Hi! I'm Xinrui He, a first-year graduate student in the M.S. program  in Intelligent Information Systems (MIIS), at Language Technologies Institute (LTI), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). 
My research interests fall in Information Retrieval, Dialogue System and Machine Learning. 
I graduated with degree of Bachelor of Science, SUMMA CUM LAUDE from Peking University in 2016.

Project: User Engagement Modeling in Virtual Agents Under Different Cultural Contexts.  I help to develop a multimodal spoken chat-bot in Mandarin and do experiments to compare engagement differences between dialogue system for Chinese culture and American culture.
Advisor: Professor Alex Rudnicky, one of the original developers of CMU Sphinx. Sphinx is the first continuous-speech, speaker-independent recognition system in the world.
