Welcome! This is Xin. I am a first year master student in the Master of Language Technologies (MLT) prgram at Language Technologies Institute (LTI), School of Computer Science (SCS), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). I am working with Prof. Jamie Callan. My research interest falls in information retrieval and social media analysis.
Prior to CMU, I received a B.S. in Software Engineering from Zhejiang University in summer 2016. From 2015-2016, I studied as an exchange student at the University of Waterloo, major in Computer Science. During the time I worked with Prof. Jimmy Lin on information retrieval in the Data Systems Group. In summer 2015, I interned under Prof. Ajay Kumar on palmprint biometric recognition, computer vision at Hong Kong PolyU. I've also spent a year exchanging at the University of Hong Kong in 2014-2015. Here are several projects I have worked on.
