This page is still under construction (and has been for a long time). In the golden future, it will contain many photographs of travels to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Australia and NewZealand and the Philippines. Unfortunately, for the last few years I have been too busy working, traveling and taking pictures, and have had no time to work on the web page. The picture at the left dates to a 1998 trek in the northern Moroccan Sahara, definitely one of the best experiences of my life. The camel's name, should you wander, is Nimra Zhoozh (not very exotic... it only means number two in Moroccan Arabic, the number that was branded on his neck!). But he was sweet, he never bucked me off unlike some others..., and enjoyed apples, oranges and hard candy. During this trip, we slept in tents, using as our blankets the saddle blankets. We knew we must have smelled like our camels when we couldn't smell them any more! |
