< Wind-Up Toy Jet>
<This toy is a rubber-band powered jet plane. More here later.
- Children will wind the rubber band on the plane and, upon releasing it, watch the plane fly to incredible heights. Not for use indoors.
- The toy is based simply on the concepts of stored elastic energy and a ducted fan design. Instead of having a large propeller in the front of the plane as some toys do, there is a safely-housed turbine partially inside the body of the toy. This turbine spins faster than normal propellers, and expells air in a more streamlined and controllers manner than other planes do. Older children will be able to pick up on these concepts.
- The plane will be made out of lightweight but durable plastic. Inside will be a rubber band connected to a fan-based turbine that will store and release energy. This toy is safer from other similar rubber-band powered planes due to it's lack of a large, spinning propeller on the front of the plane
