Cash Box Savings Bank
Cash Box Savings Bank with Exploded Component View
A great way to help children save! Savings bank asks children to tell how much they're saving, the cash box scans deposited currency, and shows teh amount entered to verify the amount. Stylized as a blend of modern technology and old cash box style, uses advanced but simple mechatronics.
- The cash box allows children to save money and check to see if the currency the put in the savings bank matches what they originally counted. Interfaces are similar to calculators and vending machines which children should be comfortable using as they grow older. Helps children learn to count currency and encourages saving.
- The cash box uses a touch pad similr to those on basic calculators. The coin and bills slot uses the same type of technology and interface as vending machines. A single coin slot can be used based on a sprung tab which 'feels' the profile of teh coin as it's deposited. A simple mechanical device displays the total dollar amount entered once the child hits the enter key on the keypad.
- This cash box should be kept inside the home and not exposed to the elements. it is primarily designed for children 5 and up to encourage savings, but also reinforces basic money counting skills. The interfaces mimic technologies which elementary school children should learn to be comfortable with, primarily teh calculator style keypad. This is not for use for small children, particularly because currency poses choking hazards. The cash box is built into a sturdy metal case, however buttons are still vulnerable to damage if used imporperly.
